Meeting Time

8pm on 3rd Tuesday of Month February to December

The Camera Club meets at 8pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the months February -December at the Te Awamutu Croquet Club rooms in Bank Street (just past the Bowling Club) The Video workshops are held at the same venue from time to time from February - November at the Croquet Club Rooms on Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

Visitors are always welcome. Come along and find out how you can get more pleasure out of your photography, we are a friendly club and will be able to help you if you have any questions.

A Brief History 

The club was formed in 1954 as the Te Awamutu 8mm Movie Club. Mr Les Richards, who later became the long serving patron, called the inaugural meeting attended by 14 people. A year later a35mm slide section was formed, and in 1960 the name was changed to the Te Awamutu 8mm and 35mm Camera Club.

It is one of the very few clubs remaining, which cater for memebers interest in both movie and still photography.
