Thank you to whomever nominated us for this award.  It is with pride we serve and protect our community.

About the Brigade....

The Te Awamutu Volunteer Fire Brigade was first established on 10 January 1913, with the first call being taken by the Brigade on 15 January 1913 .  The Brigade started with 15 members.  Today the Brigade has a membership of 32.  We now respond to over 250 incidents per year in Te Awamutu and the surrounding districts.

The appliances and operational vehicles based at the station are, 451 - Mitsubishi 6/1 CAF Appliance; 457 - Dennis Pump Rescue Tender; 4511 - the Tanker, owned by the Waipa District Council. 4519 - Operational Support Vehicle; and the Waipa District Council Rural Fire Ute.

The station is operated fully by Volunteers who come from various backgrounds and whom are dedicated, loyal and hard working people. The Brigade has 4 Executive Officers, 3 Station Officers, 5 Senior Fire Fighters, 17 Fire Fighters, 2 Station Officers Fire Support and 1 Fire Support.   This would not be possible without the generous support of our employers.
