Te Awamutu Branch
of the NZ Society of Genealogists

About Us

We are a friendly group of people, absorbed in finding one more ancestor. Join the happy clan of like-minded people and have fun as you and learn and find your ancestors. Genealogy is one of New Zealand's fastest growing leisure activities.

As a branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists we can offer you:

Meetings: Monthly meetings are held at 7.30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) , in St John's Church Lounge, Arawhata Street, Te Awamutu. Meetings are varied, sometimes with specialist speakers, and sharing of members research pathways. You may attend up to three meetings at no cost before joining.

Branch Library: There is a library, with books, CDs and magazines. The Branch also provides an extensive collection of microfiche which are housed at the Te Awamutu Library.

Collective Experience: Genealogy is all about encouragement and sharing by pooling information and knowledge.
