Some background information about the hardworking staff of Parawera School...

Kathryn Turner

Parawera School is a very special place for me as the environment and community reflects the essence of who I am. I am very strongly a rural person passionate about family and children. I believe children are our future society and have an important challenge to teach children to be the best they can be. I have been teaching at Parawera for 14 years and have been Principal for 4 years. I am proud of the resources we have built up for the school, and educate the children with the latest possible technology. I have 3 adult children, 2 of whom are married and have 5 adorable grandchildren.

Elizabeth Wright

The past present and future are very important to me. The past because our roots and we can learn so much from them, the present because we can make things happen now, and the future because that's when the seeds that the teacher sows blossom in to fruition. I have taught many children over the years and even some of their children. I am passionate about what I do and hope in some small way I have made a difference to the children's lives. My own children are either fully involved in secondary school life or as proud parents nurturing the next generation. I enjoy outdoor activities and being involved in, and supporting, my children, the teaching team and the physical aspect, is a wonderful place to be at.
