Cultural Activities

At Pekerau we encourage children to take part in a variety of cultural activities.

We have a choir and Kapahaka group that take part in musical festivals as well as performing for parents and fellow students.

School productions are held once a year, involving pupils, staff and parents in the whole production - performing, creating scenery, backstage work and music. These performances are enjoyed by local schools as well as parents and friends of the school.

School assemblies are held every Friday, with each class or team taking responsibility for presenting the assembly, choosing the songs, items and introducing speakers. Parents and friends are welcome at these assemblies.

Singing assemblies are held during the week allowing children to learn new songs and enjoy music together.

Art is displayed around the school and is a feature in the hall.
