Welcome
Welcome to Te Awamutu Primary School. Our school is a wonderful place to teach and learn. We have created a warm and welcoming environment based on positive relationships within the school and partnership with the community.
We are proud of our school and we are committed to the tradition of having close ties with the community.
During the year we will provide a number of opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child’s progress. If you have concerns or queries please contact your child’s teacher to discuss these matters. If it is important to you then it is important to us.
Throughout the year we will be holding a number of functions and all parents and friends of the school are encouraged to attend. In particular, parents and guardians are invited to attend our school assemblies. Senior School assemblies are held on Friday at 1.30pm and Junior School assemblies on Thursday at 2.15pm, see our weekly newsletter for further details.
Despite the fact that we cater for between 450-490 pupils aged from 5-11 years we have developed a family environment where each child is nurtured and cared for while being provided with achievable academic challenges. Because of the outstanding support and co- operation that we receive from parents and friends of the school, which is placed alongside the efforts of a capable, caring and committed staff we can confidently promise our children a high quality education.
