Most of our helpers are volunteers and we always need more people to help.
We are currently looking for a volunteer trainee inspector. If this position may interest you, please contact us now for more information.
If you can spare some time to walk dogs or clean animal enclosures, PLEASE contact us.
We need you!
We are a voluntary organisation which provides help to animals and owners 24 hours a day, seven days a week, although you should expect only genuine emergencies to be dealt with outside normal working hours. We receive no state funding whatsoever. We rely for our income on donations, bequests and our own fund-raising efforts.
We investigate and deal with complaints of cruelty and neglect; uphold the laws relating to the treatment of animals and take prosecutions where necessary. We give sanctuary to animals in distress, rehome suitable animals and ensure that animals, which cannot be kept alive for whatever reason, are humanely euthaniased. We assist with public education and promote responsible pet ownership.
