Volunteers are central to the running of Te Awamutu SPCA Care Shelter. We are always looking for dedicated people who can put in a few hours a week to help 
with feeding, cleaning, dog walking etc. You must be 14 years old to volunteer, or 12 years with adult supervision.



Positions available;

Cat Assistant
- This person will help feed the cats, clean cat cages, and other duties as necessary.

Dog Assistant
- This person will have a high level of confidence and the strength to handle large dogs as well as small.
- Duties will involve cleaning and hosing kennels, feeding dogs, and other basic duties as necessary.

Please note that it takes time to train new assistant volunteers properly, so if you are serious about volunteering we will require a committment from you to work at 
least one rostered shift per week. Days/hours can be negotiated, and we really do appreciate any help you can give us!  We are all volunteers, so please come and 
help share the load. The more help we have, the more help we can give.
