Te Awamutu Club news

Gary and Bobbie Cambell have had a baby boy we wish them all the best and hope to see him with a little white belt soon.

23rd May 2005 There has been a bit of a gap between reports, but with our Instructor Mr Ian Campbell away and the start of the winter here, it is a bit hard to get motivated. No doubt we will get over it, Sunday the 8th was the weekend the Waikeria club hosted the Midlands combined training day at the Te Awamutu Int School, about 70 students turned out. Our own students that are gearing up for the Nationals are getting a bit of extra training in and fucusing on their events. Lets get behind our team to the Nationals because here are the new champions that will represent New Zealand in the future.

15 April 2005 Mr Simon Mallinson whilst in Australia recently had an unfortunate accident when he participated at a foot breaking competition. He regulary competes at world champs and breaking is his speciality. His injury resulted in a bone graft two plates and the necessary screws to hold it al in. He is at the moment resting at home in plaster but he intents to pop in at the next club night and watch. He also reports that he is feeling great and hopes to be back training in a couple of months will it be with some footwear. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to catch op with him soon.

As regular readers may have noticed this page has had a face lift and all pages will follow in time, if you have any news please let me know and I will only be to pleased to enter any news you may have.

March is almost over and we have all settled into a routine that should have a focus on your next goal and for many of us that means getting our skills polished for the next grading Mr Gary Campbell and Greg Dyson are starting early on Sunday's for those that wish to accept this offer for extra help from 4PM.

A good number of new students have taken the opportunity to find out what it is al about and several forms to join have been received. Good to see al those having a go and welcome to the club.

February is wel on its way and the new member drive is gearing up with a newspaper add and flyers to spread around town. If you can place them at school or at work to get the message out, this is probably the best time to start Taekwon-Do.

We have also got our first logo entry we would like al of you to enter a design to consider, it would be quite a honour to have your design on al the doboks, so get designing on the computor or on paper, ones we have choosen the design then we wil start the process to have it reproduced.
